Yarn Lovers' Retreat - Friday 5th - Monday 8th June 2020
Yarn Lovers’ Retreat with Joanne Scrace and Kat Goldin of The Crochet Project and Rachel Coopey of Coop Knits.
This retreat in the beautiful Scottish countryside will give you a chance to relax, recharge, make new friends, connect with old friends and explore a variety of wool crafts, from fleece to final products . A full class schedule with choices for each session make this suitable for anyone with a love of wool, regardless of skill level.
Each retreat will have a choice of workshops in a variety of yarn crafts. There will be opportunities to learn macrame, how to embellish your knit wear, weaving, darning, and even the basics of sheep to spindle, plus others. We will also host a knit and crochet surgery where you can bring your projects that you are stuck on and we can help get you back on track. We will be firing up Kat's dye pots, heading out to forage (for those who want to) and enjoying the beautiful surroundings of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. There will also be plenty of opportunity to relax, chat and stitch away.
Price includes three nights full board accommodation in a shared twin room, all classes, basic materials and a goodie bag. Accommodation is over four cottages on the historic Cardross Estate, within walking distance of Kat’s farm. Workshops will take place at Gartur Stitch Farm.
Transport to the venue not included (but transfers Stirling train station can be arranged).
Please note: the retreat is held on a working farm with lots of free-range animals.
