Highland Beef Steak Pies & Mince Rounds

Raised in partnership with our friends Colin and Angela and made for is by award winning pie maker Ann Davidson, we have a selection of Highland beef pies available for sale.

If you haven't tried it before, Highland beef is an amazing breed for meat. Much less fatty than other beef (they use their fur to keep warm, rather than layers of fat), the cows are slower to mature and forage on a wider range of plants, so have a much richer flavour than what you would get in the supermarket.

These pies are the best we've ever had and we are so delighted to offer them for sale. They will probably ruin other steak pies for you and for that, I am sorry. 

The thick chunks of slow cooked steak are covered in a rich gravy and topped with delicious all butter puff pastry. The mince rounds are the same recipe, all sandwiched in delicious flaky pastry.

Pies are sent frozen and are packed in Woolcool recyclable packaging and ice packs to get to your door. Due to the nature of pastry, they may come with small amounts of cosmetic flaws to the crust, but they will bake up no problem. There may be a slight amount of thawing enroute, but as long as they are cool to the touch, they can go straight back into the freezer until you are ready to bake them.

Instructions: bake from frozen. brush pastry with egg wash. bake at 180c for 35 minutes until browned and cooked through

Ingredients: Beef, flour (WHEAT), beef drippings, carrot, onion, garlic, salt
