We miss hosting workshops here at the farm.  And while we can't have you here just yet, we thought we would invite you into the kitchen virtually for a workshop!!

Whether you’ve always wanted to learn how to make ferments in your own home or maybe you just don’t know what to do with the 17th head of cabbage you’ve pulled out of your veg box this month, fermentation is an easy way to preserve food as well as cultivating gut-friendly bacteria for your family.  Oh and did I mention it is delicious?

We will walk you through the basic principles of fermentation - how to harness those naturally occurring bacteria to your advantage - and cover some misconceptions about fermentation (aka how you probably aren't going to kill anyone with your ferments!!)

The course will cover:

  • An intro to lacto-fermentation
  • Equipment and techniques
  • German Style Sauerkraut
  • Basic Kimchi + Kimchi Fritters
  • Fire Cider Hot Sauce


The course will take place via Zoom. A link for the course and a shopping list will be sent out 2 weeks before the course.  You can also opt for one of the two kits: equipment or equipment and ingredients to be sent out to you on the 23rd of February. 

We will also have a Fermentation drop in on the 6th March to check in and chat any problems you may have!

The course is open worldwide, but kits can only be sent to the UK.

You can also buy the kit with the veggies included, sourced from our local veg market and organic where possible.
